Magnetic Latching Relay It is a special type of relay that can use permanent magnets to maintain the stable state of the relay contacts. It can maintain the switching state without continuous power supply and has the advantage of energy saving.
The main structure and working principle of the magnetic latching relay are as follows:
1. Main structure
– Coil
– Movable iron core
– Permanent magnets
– Normally open (normally closed) contacts
2. Working principle
– When energized, the electromagnetic force generated by the coil overcomes the attraction of the permanent magnet, displaces the movable iron core, and closes (or opens) the action contact.
– After the power is turned off, the attractive force of the permanent magnet keeps the position of the movable iron core and the contacts unchanged.
– When the reverse coil is energized again, the movable iron core shifts and the contacts return to their original positions.
3. Main features
– Maintain contact status without continuous power supply, saving energy.
– With memory function, the last state of the relay can be maintained after power failure.
– No contact chatter, reliable action.
– Suitable for remote control and low power consumption applications.
4. Application areas
– Security system: access control, anti-theft alarm, etc.
– Industrial control: production line control, remote switch control
– Communication equipment: power backup switching, signal strobe
– Aerospace: rocket launch control, spacecraft circuit control
– Automotive electronics: door control, electric sunroof control, etc.
